Shantel Hanniford is a native of Nantucket, MA, and a Trinity College Graduate with a bachelor's in Psychology and Educational Studies. During her undergraduate years, Shantel played on the Trinity College women's varsity basketball team, and served as captain of the team her senior year. She was also  involved in the COMPASS After-School Program at Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy where she served as an intern and a professional youth developer. A Teaching fellow, Shantel will teach 5th grade social studies, 6th grade girls space, co-advise the 5th grade, and coach sports during all three seasons. She will also work as an assistant counselor in the Graduate Support Program.
